Connect Five Rules

1: Classic Rules

1.1: Game Concept
Connect Five, or Go-moku, is a game where the players must put five pieces of their color in a row to win. The game concept is quite simple, but the strategies are difficult.

1.2: Board
The normal board size is 15x15 and the pieces are places on the lines intersections.

1.3: Pieces
There are red pieces and yellow pieces. Each player has an unlimited supply of pieces of his color

1.4: Playing
The players choose together the one who will start the game. The one who starts controls the black team and the other one, the white. One after the other, the players must place one piece of their color on the board.

1.5: End
A player wins when there are five pieces of his color aligned vertically, horizontally or diagonally on the board. If the board is totally filled and there are not five pieces of the same color aligned orthogonally or diagonally, the game is a draw.

The rules above were found on http://www.igfip.com/gomoku.app/rules.html.

2: Connect four on Battle Chess rules

2.1: Board

15----------------

It's a 15x15 board. It is filled with "-" when it is empty, except a X at H8.

2.2: Pieces
Because it is hard to put color in a forum, the starting player has X letters and the other has O letters.

2.3: Movements

2.3.1: On the board
One after the other, the players put a X or a O on the board, replacing the "-". The O team starts, but there is already a X in the middle (H8).

2.3.2: Written
After he has done his move on the board, the player must say where he put his letter. He has to say the coordonates (Letter, Number) of the case where he put the letter (Ex: O to H9).

2.4: End
A player wins when there are five X or O (depending of the letter that he controls) aligned orthogonally or diagonally on the board. If the board is full of letters and there are not five same letters in a row, the game is a draw. But it's rare.

2.5: Modifications
The letters are placed in the cells and not on the lines intersections.

2.6: Players' rules
See the player's rules in the General Rules forum.
